Happiness Week: September 8-11

Happiness Week is designed to help our campus community engage with each other, stay active, and embrace everyday experiences that elevate our mood. All employees and students are invited to the following events.

9/8, all day

Positivity Push

Throughout the day, we encourage you to send a positive note to someone or multiple people. It could be a reason you’re grateful for them, a compliment for the work they’ve been doing, simply to wish them a wonderful day, or another positive reason.

  • Push the positivity however works for you--with an email, handwritten note, or text! Consider writing your note on some fun stationary, using a colorful pen or even decorating the envelope. Not sure what to write? Start with "I'm grateful for the time you_______" and go from there.
  • Or post why you're grateful for your coworker(s) on social media using the hashtag #URPostivityPush

9/9, 12-1 PM

Virtual Team Trivia

Grab your virtual team and your best thinking cap and get ready for some friendly competition! We will be hosting a Virtual Team Trivia on Wednesday, September 9th from 12-1pm. Participants can join in from the comfort of their office or home and will be put into break-out rooms with their teammates to answer each question. Don’t forget to create a catchy team name!

Register your team: One team member can register their entire team by filling out this form.

9/10, 1-3 PM

Free Ice Cream

Join us at the Weinstein Center for Recreation's courtyard for a sweet treat! Take a break and pick up a free ice cream between 1-3 PM.

9/11, 12:15-1:00 PM

Friday Fun Day

We're keeping the positivity going with a live-stream mid-day workout! This workout will be a total body equipment free workout that can be done at home, outside, or at the office. Grab a friend or co-worker and join us via Zoom or at the Weinstein Center for Recreation for an energizing and mood boosting workout! University Recreation will provide a playlist of motivational music that you can download and listen to at home while you work out. All fitness levels welcome.
